Woodcock and Snipe Shooting in County Kildare, Southern Ireland

Woodcock being the main quarry the lodge offers a variety of packages which will be described below, the woodcock shooting is driven over dogs minimum of 6 guns and is a weekend package.

Thursday arrive at shoot. Friday - Saturday, you can leave Saturday and stay in Dublin or spend another night with us. Best season November -January no charge for dogs. But we offer, Wood pigeon, Rough shooting, Driven Pheasant, Driven Snipe, Deer stalking for Red, Sika and Fallow deer. Fox and rabbit shooting (at night).

Accommodation:-

The Lodge is privately owned and operated by the Moore family whom have been living in the Broomfield area for more than 150 years. The grand lodge is a newly constructed stone and granite Country House located in the green rolling hills of County Kildare just 50 minutes south of Dublin Airport and 2 minutes off the N9 motorway at the Moone junction.

The lodge is also located just 5 minutes from the River Griese Valley. This luxurious 7 bedroom country house, all with private bathrooms was designed to represent an old Victorian Hunting Lodge. The lodge is set up to accommodate large groups such as family gatherings, corporate retreats, hunting/fishing parties, and any other group of people looking for comfortable, modern, and upscale accommodations. The home has a very large, gorgeous gourmet pine kitchen, a tastefully decorated formal dining room that seats 16 comfortably. Seven bedrooms that will accommodate up to 20 people comfortably, and two sitting rooms with open fireplaces in each of them. This exquisite country house is set up for self catering. However, housekeeping and full catering is available upon request.

Location:-

From Dublin airport, take the M50 south to the N7 South and continue all the way to the N9 South. Take the N9 South for about 20 minutes until you come to the Moone junction.

Go past this junction for another 2 miles to the High Cross junction (on the right hand side), turn right into this and stay straight for about 3 miles to the first 4 way crossroad. The Lodge is on the left at this cross road.

We will collect and return your party to the airport if requested to do so budget £200 for the round trip please.
