Woodcock Shooting on the Isle-of-Rassay, Western Isles of Scotland

Rassay is holder of the Scottish record woodcock bag of 916 birds in one season and is the jewel in the Scottish woodcock crown, superb ground ideal for 4-6 guns shooting over own pointers, or driven sport the island will only be shot over 3 times between 01 November 2008 and 31st January 2009.

This shoot fails to disappoint, stunning scenery with ground that woodcock want to rent!! This is my no 1 destination for virgin woodcock.

You can expect to see between 50-90 birds daily and pin 25-30 depending on how good a shots the group is. Best time to come is November-January. Pointers setters and handlers are extra cost of £125 per gun or we can split cost between group of 6/8 guns.
